League Schedules & Info

Softball Information

$275 league fee plus $12 ump fee per team per game. Softballs are not provided by the Sunset. Each team needs to provide two softballs per game. You can place an order for balls at captain/team meeting. Required ball - USSSA Classic M, SY 12 RF 40.

  • Season starts week of May 7th, 16 week season plus playoffs.  No games July 4, Sept 3 & 4. Make-up week August 27th and playoffs start Sept 5th.
Softball Nights:
  • Co-ed: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday (cannot have more male players than female players on the field).
  • Men's: Tuesday and Thursday (Rec E or Intermediate D)
Game start times:
  • Field 1 & 2 - 6:00 / 7:00 / 8:00 / 9:00
  •  Field 3 - 5:30 / 6:30 / 7:30
Score/run rules (per USSSA Rules):
  • If a team is down by 20 or more runs after 3 innings, the game is over.
  • If  a team is down by 15 or more runs after 4 innings, the game is over.
  • If a team is down by 10 or more runs after 5 innings, the game is over.
  • Each team is allowed 4 outside-the-park home runs per game, the 5th is an out.


 

Volleyball Information:

$79 league fee plus $12 ref fee per team per match. Season starts week of May 7th, 16 week season plus playoffs.  No games July 4. Make-up week August 27th and playoffs start Sept 5th

Bags Information:

League fee is $50. Season starts week of May 7th, 16 week season plus playoffs. No games Sept 3rd & 4th. Make-up week August 27th and playoffs starts Sept. 5th.

  • Two per team (subs allowed). 
  • Teams can be any gender.

General Information

*****ALL PARTICIPANTS PLEASE READ*****

  • In case of questionable weather ALWAYS call the Sports Hotline 218-740-3671. Please do not call the restaurant. Sports Hotline recording will be updated accordingly.
  • May 1st is the registration and payment deadline. If you miss this you won't be scheduled for the first week.
  • If we don't receive your roster by your first game you forfeit all games thereafter until we receive your roster. Turn your roster into a Sunset staff member, not the umpires. We have extra roster forms if needed.
  • Forfeit fee is $25 for softball/$15 for volleyball and payable before your next game. Second will result in team being removed from league.
  •  Coolers are allow by fields but you must purchase from our bottle shop that day. Receipt will be checked. No coolers allowed on Sundays until July 2.
  •  All participants must be 18 years old.
  • Captain/team meeting is April 19th at 6:00 PM at The Sunset. All are encouraged to attend. If you miss the meeting it is your responsibility to pick up any necessary information (i.e. team packets).
  •  Respect your umpires and referees.
